Boulder Community Health

Some of the most important — and most difficult — conversations you’ll ever have are about your wishes for late stages of a disease or end of life. Talking with your loved ones is an important first step in making your wishes known. But it’s also essential for your health care provider to understand your values and preferences.

Hear Drs. Jean Abbott and Elizabeth Cruse discuss why serious-illness and end-of-life conversations are important. Then learn how to include your health care provider in these conversations at your next in-person or virtual wellness visit.

Speakers

Jean Abbott, MD, MH, of University of Colorado Hospital Ethics Committee and the Ethics Consult Service
Elizabeth Cruse, MD, BCH’s and Boulder Valley Care Network’s medical director for ambulatory quality improvement and population health
